Councils
By canon law, each parish is required to maintain at least two consultative bodies, a Pastoral Council and a Financial Council. At Holy Trinity, the Pastoral Council is chaired by Tony Schneider; the Financial Council is chaired by David Kniepkamp.
The Pastoral Council is a consultative body which assists the Pastor of the parish and has two main purposes: to plan for the future of the parish and to serve as a liaison between all the parish groups.
The Council works to determine what the needs of the parish will be in the coming years and puts the resources in place to meet those needs. Additionally, each council member serves as a contact person for various parish groups. If there are any issues which a group feels needs to be discussed or acted upon by the Pastoral Council they should bring it to the attention of their liaison.
The Pastoral Council meets on the fourth Thursday of every month.
The Financial Council assists and advises the pastor in the financial management of the parish. The Council oversees the fiscal management of the parish. They prepare the annual budget and approve the expenditures of the parish funds. They oversee the Capital Campaign and Stewardship initiatives.
The Financial Council meets on the fourth Thursday of every month.
